The "Al" Hat

Nouns love to wear the hat ال (Al) at the beginning.

If it doesn't have "Al", it might have a double sound at the end (un, an, in).

Circle "T"

Only Nouns can end with the round Taa (Ta-Marbuta).

Boy or Girl? (Gender)

In Arabic, every noun is either a Boy (Mudhakkar) or a Girl (Muannath).

The Girl Rule:

Most girl words end with the Ta-Marbuta (ة). It looks like a circle with two dots!

The 3 Moods of a Noun 🎭

Nouns change their ending sound based on what they are doing!

Change the mood of the word: "The Boy"

When the boy is doing the action. Ending sound is Damma (u).

جَاءَ الْوَلَدُ (The boy came)
